Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you work from?

I work from ‘The Esplanade’ in Torquay located at 14A The Esplanade, Torquay VIC 3228. The treatment room is upstairs and offers a beautiful ocean view.

What do I wear?

For massage appointments please wear warm, loose fitting clothing. For all physiotherapy and yoga appointments, please wear clothes which are comfortable for physical movement.

What is Traditional Thai Massage?

Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing practice that combines acupressure, Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Unlike many forms of massage that focus on kneading muscles, Thai massage uses a combination of gentle stretching and rhythmic pressure along the body’s energy lines, known as “Sen” lines. This unique technique helps improve flexibility, relieve muscle tension, and promote the flow of energy throughout the body.

During a session, clients remain fully clothed while the practitioner uses their hands, feet, knees, and elbows to apply pressure and guide the body through various stretches. The experience is often described as deeply relaxing, yet invigorating.

Perfect for relieving stress, improving flexibility, and restoring balance, traditional Thai massage is both a physical and energetic therapy that leaves you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Which length of appointment is best for me?

For initial appointments, I recommend at least 90 minutes to allow for a brief consultation where we'll discuss any health concerns, injuries, or goals you may have. For ongoing sessions, you can choose from 60, 90 or 120 minutes based on your goals and time availability.
